Fast, Accurate, and Repeatable Results Without GCPs
The Emesent Backpack RTK automates high-accuracy georeferencing and drift correction for backpack-based surveys, delivering fast, accurate, and repeatable results while reducing—or even eliminating—the need for Ground Control Points (GCPs). By intelligently combining RTK and SLAM technologies, the Backpack RTK produces highly reliable, survey-grade point clouds. When paired with the Hovermap 360° Colorization Kit, it adds realistic color to your point clouds and enables the export of 360° panoramic imagery for enhanced environmental context.
When maximum accuracy is not required, the Backpack RTK also enables georeferenced mapping in GPS-denied environments. Start a survey outdoors using RTK, then seamlessly transition to SLAM-based capture indoors within the same mission, without the need to install ground control points inside the building. This makes it particularly valuable for forestry, construction progress monitoring, and projects where only portions of the site have limited or no GPS coverage.
The RTK functionality can also be utilized when deploying Hovermap on a drone or vehicle, extending high-accuracy georeferencing across multiple mapping platforms.
