A rugged mounting system and integrated data connection allow Hovermap to be seamlessly deployed on Boston Dynamics Spot, creating an efficient workflow for routine inspections through Spot's native mission management software. Hovermap's 300 m LiDAR range, combined with Emesent's industry-leading SLAM algorithms, enables continuous scanning at Spot's maximum walking speed, delivering surveys up to 10 times faster than traditional terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) methods.
For confined spaces and other non-routine inspection tasks, Emesent's extended-range radio communications provide remote operation up to 500 meters, enabling faster and safer mapping of large or hard-to-reach environments while keeping personnel out of hazardous areas.
