High-Resolution Rapid Mapping for Hard-to-Reach Areas
Hovermap captures highly detailed and accurate 3D data in less than one-third of the time required by traditional Cavity Monitoring System (CMS) methods, making it ideal for underground environments that are difficult to access and where drone deployment is not feasible. A stope can be scanned in as little as 1–2 minutes, producing a high-density point cloud with minimal shadowing and without the need for multiple scan positions. Simply mount Hovermap onto a CMS boom or pole for rapid data capture, enabling more accurate volume calculations and geotechnical structure mapping to support better mining engineering decisions. The fast setup and scanning process also reduces operator exposure to hazardous areas, significantly improving safety.
Unlike conventional CMS systems, which require static operation, Hovermap can be moved while scanning, providing greater coverage in a single survey and increased operational flexibility.
