The LiGrip SE by GreenValley International is a new, lightweight and cost-effective handheld 3D LiDAR SLAM system designed for fast mapping of both indoor and outdoor environments. Weighing just 1.33 kg, it combines ease of use with surveying-grade accuracy, making it a highly versatile solution for building surveys, BIM, volume calculations, topographic surveying, forestry applications, and digital twin creation.

At the core of the LiGrip SE is GreenValley’s next-generation surveying-grade SLAM algorithm, which enables stable and reliable data acquisition even in GNSS-denied environments. The system delivers relative accuracy better than 2 cm and absolute accuracy better than 5 cm, while its LiDAR sensor captures up to 200,000 points per second, with a range of up to 70 m, depending on surface reflectivity.

One of the key features that sets the LiGrip SE apart in its category is its two high-resolution 12 MP panoramic cameras, which provide high-quality point cloud colorization and data suitable for photorealistic 3D visualization and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). In addition, its IP54 protection rating, battery life of up to 2.5 hours per battery, and compatibility with backpacks, telescopic poles, and even robotic platforms significantly increase its versatility in the field.

Compared with more powerful models in the series, such as the LiGrip O2, the SE is not designed to deliver maximum range or data density. Instead, it offers a more compact and affordable combination of accuracy, portability, and productivity. Weighing significantly less than the O2 at approximately 2.2 kg, it brings the key advantages of GreenValley’s SLAM technology into a system ideally suited for everyday surveying tasks, where speed, simplicity, and a lower investment cost are essential.
